The Black Business Network was founded in 2021 by a group of individuals dedicated to sharing professional resources with Black students at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In the past, students have felt as though opportunities within the professional world are either out of reach or not an option for students of color. Saving their job search until the end of their college careers. BBN is committed to building these students up, showing them the potential they have today, and creating a culture of "Paying it Forward" so that members may be able to help develop more Black students in the future.
